Shooting the fading light (Yosemeti 2008)

There are a number of idiosyncrasies in this photo. First is Shirley using a tripod, she always felt it restricted the freedom of the moment. Secondly, being out later in the day instead of eating. Third, being miles from the trailhead in bear country. All of this was due to the influence of Grant, the other photographer on this trip.
